Here is a quick collection of AIA observations and simulated emission for that day.
 
Rasterized PNG images with the AIA color tables are in the png directory, the corresponding data in DN/S are in the hdf directory.

The 6 AIA images are within +/- 6 seconds of 2010-07-11T19:59:30Z

The were all PSF corrected, rotated, centered, and rebinned to 1024x1024 resolution.

They synthetic AIA images were generated from one of our recent MHD simulations.

The empirical heating model is similar to those described in Lionello et al 2009 (but not identical).

We used CHIANTI 7.1 and chianti.ioneq and sun_coronal_ext.abund to generate the response tables.

Because this particular model used a flux-evolved magnetic map with a farside AR prediction, The active region  on the disk is a little bit off...

All of .hdf files have pixel coordinates in Solar XY
